Wisconsin small business a new member of SBA 100

Thanks to SBA lending, another small business is realizing success and adding to the local workforce.

Crystal Finishing Systems, based in Schofield, Wisconsin, offers paint and plastics coating services, as well as aluminum extrusions. Since its inception, the company has expanded to five facilities and seven different divisions, including an in-house trucking department for product transportation.

Thanks to being awarded an SBA 504 loan about a year ago - a program designed to help businesses acquire the assets necessary to expand and improve operations, from real estate to equipment - Crystal Finishing has added 120 new employees, bringing its total workforce to more than 400.

The company is being featured as one of the SBA 100, which recognizes small businesses from numerous industries that have a major positive impact on their local communities by adding at least 100 jobs since receiving assistance from the organization. The currently featured companies involved in the program have created more than 10,000 jobs, a huge accomplishment during tough economic times.

SBA Midwestern regional administrator Marianne O'Brien Markowitz will tour Crystal Finishing in recognition of the firm's achievements and contributions to the local economy.
