Using online videos to reach new customers

While small business owners have greater access to commercial loans, they still need to be careful how they are investing their money. Because of that, many entrepreneurs have begun spending more money on internet marketing, which is generally less expensive that creating a television or radio advertisement.

One particular area has grown especially popular over the last few years - video marketing. As Business Insider recently suggested, online videos can be more engaging then reading pages of text in brochures or long blog posts. The key is to create videos regularly - a small business doesn't need to have a top-of-the-line camera setup to shoot entertaining videos.

"Don't wait to plunge into online video marketing until you can afford YouTube clips on the scale of a Hollywood epic. Remember, like blog content or any other communications you do with customers or other visitors to your website, it’s what you have to say that counts," explains the source.

According to data from digital measurement firm comScore, more than 170 million American consumers watch online videos every month, which gives business owners a broad audience to reach.
