Top industries positioned for growth in 2011

With the economy making a rebound, entrepreneurs are gaining easier access to commercial loans, making this the opportune time to launch a new company. Inc. magazine recently explored the top industries it expects to grow in 2011, which may give entrepreneurs some ideas for starting a new business.

Employment agencies are expected to be very profitable in 2011. With the economy on the mend, companies are looking to staff up to take on more work. Unemployment is also high, which means employment agencies are in the opportune position to capitalize on these two trends.

The source also anticipates the public relations firms will be popular this year. "While employment in the field has actually declined lately, it's set to increase by 3 percent every year through 2016. That's due largely to a shifting industry that incorporates more social media management and marketing," Inc. magazine explains. "The industry has a low barrier to entry and low capital intensity, but is highly competitive."

If entrepreneurs are looking to get into the franchising business, then they may want to consider the frozen food industry, which experts expect to be big in the future.
