SCORE launches new small business help website
5/10/2011
SCORE, a nonprofit organization aiming to help launch 1 million small businesses by 2017, has launched a new support website for clients and entrepreneurs, AOL reports. The goal of the website is to help entrepreneurs and clients network with each other and get the feedback they need.
The retooled website will provide small business owners with a phone number and other contact information for local chapters so they can get the help they need to stay in operation. It will also feature a "best practice" section and other resources.
"We expect the launch of our new website, along with the introduction of our new branding campaign and standardized mentoring training process, to reassure aspiring and current small business owners that SCORE continues to focus on its mission of providing entrepreneurs with valuable skills and business-building tools through our free expert mentors and resources," SCORE CEO Ken Yancey said in a statement.
While small businesses are experiencing growth, there are still challenges, such as small business lending, that many feel are inhibiting their success.
