Microsoft launches new small business website

With many entrepreneurs applying for commercial loans, new computer systems and software are among the top things that many business owners are considering updating. Now, Microsoft is looking to better support these companies and recently launched a small business website to do just that.

"[Small businesses are] incredibly important," Josh Waldo, director of Microsoft's U.S. SMB marketing, told BusinessNewsDaily. "We've got capabilities now that we've never had to serve small business, and that's the cloud."

As the source notes, the primary tool that Microsoft offers small business owners is Office 365. The software package provides users with potent programs such as Microsoft Word as well as cloud services. Microsoft launched its cloud services last year after it was tested by more than 100,000 organizations.

With many companies also looking to hire more employees, cloud technology is becoming increasingly important. By having important documents, schedules and other data on the cloud, employees can work from anywhere, which can greatly improve productivity.
