Micro businesses are geared for success
3/4/2011
It's a great time to be a small business entrepreneur, with the economy on the mend and the government looking to enact pro-small company policies. However, according to a recent report from Paycheck, a business services company, micro companies are feeling even more optimistic.
Micro businesses were observed to be 14 percent more optimistic about their prospects for growth than small companies, while they were also 24 percent more likely to hire more employees in 2011.
That isn't to say that small businesses aren't optimistic, the Democrat and Chronicle noted. Rather, they just aren't as confident as micro businesses.
Among the surveyed individuals, 47 percent said government regulations had inhibited growth. Fortunately, the government is looking to support small businesses with new programs, which should make this less of an issue moving forward.
Small business lending practices are also easing, which should make acquiring the capital required to grow even easier moving forward. Micro businesses just need to be careful as they grow their companies - the recession is not over yet.
