Forbes to recognize companies with exceptional potential
8/17/2011
If your business is making a mark on your industry or your community's economy, you could soon find it featured in Forbes magazine.
The publication releases an annual list of America's Most Promising Companies. Submissions must be received by August 30, and can be from the owner or an employee of a business as well as a friend or fan of a company.
According the magazine, it garners approximately 5.5 million readers bi-weekly, and the company website sees around 18 million different visitors per month. That's an enormous amount of exposure for any size of a business, and could be the marketing catalyst for an up-and-coming or startup venture. By landing on this year's list, your company could realize more commercial funding, attract new customers and leverage the prestige of the publication to win investors, partners and the highest caliber of employees.
The contest is open to privately owned businesses, and judging will be based on growth prospects. Featured companies from the 2009 list have already proven successful, whether or not from the added exposure. Forbes claims that a total of $92 million in capital was gained by just 13 of the 20 included businesses - a substantial rate of growth considering the economic situation in the past two years.
